21st January 2006

1:06am: Just starting to think about heading to bed. Had a better day today. Decided not to let other people's crap dictate how my day is going to be. No matter how much I try, I am not going to be able to save the world in a day, especially at the blue monster. I am letting all my frustrations with that place go, they're not going to change...

Well I get to sleep in tomorrow morning for the first time in a while, I go into work at 2 and work till 1030. Looks like some people are going to be chillin out after the store closes. Looking forward to that, it'll be nice. Need a break, can't wait for it, so I'm gonna make it happen. Not sure what I'm gonna do with myself before work, probably just sleeping in, cause who am I kidding?? :)

Might use one of the Jason's Deli coupons for lunch tomorrow before I go into work, that'd be nice. Some non-fastfood would be good for the system. Would like to do some errands that I'm needing to get done. Have to see how the time goes.

Goodnight all.

19th January 2006

10:37pm: So much to say, not enough energy to make sense of it...

Here's the jist...

It took a day like today to light a fire under my ass. I'm gonna get done with school, I'm gonna find a job that pays me the wage I need to afford the things and living that I want, and nobody is going to stop me from making that happen.

RAAAAAA!

Ok, all better :)

That is all.

9:05pm: :)
Home alone. Score.

Parents are up in Williamsburg apparently. They stopped by the store today and Mom seems to be doing better during her test period for the underskin pain machine. Depending on what she says tonight, she may go forth with the permanent underskin model in the near future.

My move to computers looks to be happening in the next week. Looking forward to it.

Today is Sarah's and my six-month anniversary. Go us. We rock. Nuff said. :)

Need to get some things done around here that just haven't for one reason or another. The main one is getting the truck cleaned up. It's been a while, and it needs some loving.

I have a few hours to decide If I want to get rid of this psyc class. Not sure if its something that I want to try and fit into the whole picture that is my life right now. Hmm...

All in all, good day today, which is now filled with Beauty and the Geek 2...

Later everyone.

31st December 2005

12:03am: Time to get your kicks in 2006...
New Year's Eve already....geepers...

2006 if it's anything like 2005 is going to be an awesome year!

Had dinner out at Sumo's in Virginia Beach with my Sarah :), Dad, Rubin, and Pat tonight. Sushi was goood.....Chicken, Steak, Shrimps...Mmmm...Came back and watched a portion of Blue Collar Comedy Tour with the family, which for anyone who hasn't seen it is funny as hell...

I have to work 12-7 tomorrow and then I'm going up to Williamsburg to Becky's with Sarah for the night. Should be fun.

Tonight was amazing, have to just tell you guys. I am so blown away by this woman in my life. She fills my life in a way that I didn't know was lacking. I am so lucky, and blessed.

28th December 2005

9:18pm: Thanks to everyone that wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday. Spent the day at work, then came home and went to bed. Needed some rest, glad I got some.

Hope all is going well out there with everyone.

More to come later...

Love you Sarah.

24th December 2005

12:38am: Don't know why I'm even up at this hour, but I feel a need to comment on the Jessica Simpson/NIck Lachey thing. I've been watching reruns of their old show tonight again, and I can't even imagine what kept them together. The money had to have something to do with it, but I never really got the impression that the whole thing was more than a stunt for television.

Wow, just looked at the date on this thing and sure enough, it's Christmas Eve 2005. Can't believe it.

Gotta say that this year has given me some of the best and most challenging moments of any year before. I have finally returned to a time where I have shown I can perform well in college, and I have a better GPA, I've been working at Best Buy for over a year now, and am finally figuring out what It means to be in a relationship that works.

Got all of my presents wrapped tonight, and all I have to do is a few things in the morning. Works out that I'll be working where I need to pick these things up. Then it's off to Newport News to chill for the night. Definitely looking forward to that....which I always am. Things got a little rocky tonight after a seemingly calm evening. Things eventually washed away when the rents went to bed...thank goodness.

Watched Serenity tonight, both all the way through and then with the commentary from Joss Whedon. Wow, that's all I'm gonna say.

Gonna check out a new condo for sale in NN this week sometime if it's still on the market. Will keep everyone up to date on how that goes.

Happy Holidays everyone!

22nd December 2005

11:44pm: The Holiday Season is in full swing. Customers have come from far and wide to be told "We have no nanos left."

Have almost all the Christmas shopping done on my end, which if you know me, that's a good thing. Wrapping comes tomorrow and then there's Christmas Eve at the Best Buy.

4th December 2005

7:28pm: I will never make my family feel the way that mine has made me feel right now...
I don't want to say anymore.

1:12am: Thoughts
Interesting day today. Got caught up on the sleep thing from the last few days, which was nice. Got my paper turned in for diversity class tonight which was awesome because that's the last hurdle that I have until finals this semester.

Black Friday and the following weekend went well at the store. I am not so worried about the holiday season now because we've made it over the hump. I am greatful to all of my coworkers for the success that we've had and look forward to more in the future. We have more people working in the dept. now, so that can mean that we have continued treks toward the future.

I'm deciding whether or not I want to pursue higher standing in the store. I can put myself in a position to be noticed for advancement to Supervisor and I'd like to do that. I'm sure that I could do what is necessary to make that happen with a little bit of preparation and training. I'm thinking of setting a goal for six months out to make that happen.

I've been doing lots of thinking in the last few days, and for any of you that know me, that's no surprise. I've been thinking about what the next steps should be. I'm finally enlisting some help from the parents in coming up with an idea for moving out of the house. Again, I'm looking for the six month mark to make that happen... Still deciding on the house vs. renting situation. Location may dictate renting first.

I am continuing to do well with one of the coolest girlfriends that exists on the planet.

Doing some Christmas shopping at the moment. Getting all sorts of recommendations from every angle. Should turn out to be a nice holiday.

...as long as I don't do anything stupid. :)

But I wouldn't do that now would I?

6:36pm: Instructions: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Live Journal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. Better Life- Keith Urban
2. Wake Me Up When September Ends- Green Day
3. Ride On Cowboy- Garth Brooks
4. Gone- Montgomery Gentry
5. Drift Away- Dobie Gray
6. Something More- Sugarland
7. As Good As I Once Was
12:00am: Gonna go to bed in the next few minutes, but I wanted to post since I haven't in a few days.

We're getting ready for Black Friday at the Best Buy, so that should be cool. I close the store that night. Today we had the release of the XBox 360. We sold out in minutes.

Need to sleep now, more to come later...

20th November 2005

11:31am: Keith Urban
Keith Urban is awesome...

He came in concert at the Ted Constant Convocation Center last night in Norfolk. Went to the concert with Sarah and Susan. We had a blast! Every song that he played rocked the house and most of them were upbeat ones.

Keith had a part of his show where he went from the stage to a small platform in the middle of the complex by way of Trapeze. It was awesome. I tried to take a few pictures during the concert since they did allow cameras to this one, but I just found out that ALL of them are blurry. You'd think that since I work with these things every day, that I'd know how to take a good concert pic. Well next time I guess.

Anyways, awesome concert.

Little Big Town opened for him and they were pretty good. I may look them up on the iTunes and get some of their stuff to try out.

Tonight, I'm going to see Harry Potter with some of the folks from the Penninsula. Should be fun, haven't had a chance to see it yet. We're gonna be at Cinema Cafe, so that should be fun.

I have Monday off and then have to do the Diversity class thing in the afternoon.

Tuesday it looks like I open the store to introduce the world to the XBox 360, so please come down to the Big Blue Box and get yours.

4th November 2005

1:44pm: Just got done with the world's longest assignment. Now I have two hours to kill cleaning the house before the realtor comes over after class tonight. Yes, yes, I know... my parents are way too OCD about having this place presentable for anyone...Geeez... it's not like she's royalty or something...hehe.

Talk to everyone later. I should have my cell on if anyone wants some of me. :)
4:06am: Bed...
Bedtime....still have more work to do, but I need to sleep.
1:37am: Just got back from Kellys. Had a blast. Working on stuff for class for a while, then going to bed. Thanks for the voicemail, Sarah.

Talk to everyone after the realtor meeting.

Goodnight.

Love you Sarah! :)

T'was a good Halloween 2005.

Didn't see many kids out this year. Went to class and got my paper turned in that I wrote this morning on my articles.

Had a nice time with the Bowers Family up at Becky's place in Williamsburg last night. Gave Kelly an iTrip for her new Miss Kitty iPod. Hope she likes it.

I'm working the early shift today. Star Wars Ep 3 comes out on DVD today and we're opening early to let all those freaks in. :)

...so that means I'm leaving by 330p.

I'm off. :)

9:58pm: Ponderings from the short bus...
OK, now for the De-Thaw: :) :

Looks Iike I can cross some things off my list so far:

Got a realtor, she's gonna be calling me on Monday, hopefully with some places to started.

I'm gonna work on the room tonight, try to get that cleaned up by the morning.

Getting the heating blanket for the bed....hahaha...

Tomorrow morning, before work at Noon, I'm gonna go look for a pillow to bring up to NN with me when I go up next, I'm thinking BB and Beyond....any other suggestions?

I should check outside and make sure that I don't have any other tires for the chair hanging up on the ramp, and then If I don't, I should head to HDK Kempsville and get some new tires. Man, there's only so many hours in a day apparently.

I should go by the condo I found on Newtown and see how the area is. Maybe I can do that this week. It would probably be better if I did it in the morning hours rather than the late night ones.

I have to get on the ball a little more and go through some of the stuff in the house. I'd really like to be able to move when I get the chance and not have to then go and ruffle through all of the useless stuff that I have kept around this last year. Shredder here I come!

Today was a pretty good day at work. Had a very different bunch of customers today. Everything seemed to go well for the most part, had a few moments that weren't too fun, but I should be able to remedy that in the next day or so. I'm trying to take a more active role in the daily stuff that I've been tasked to do, and hopefully that'll translate into more success for the department as we move through to the holidays and Christmas.

I've been thinking about something all day today:

If you had to tell someone that did not know you what your best qualities are...

What would you say?

I find myself thinking of what I want to be versus what I am. So I need some help guys and girls...

Tell me what your best qualities are...
